CTS Potentiometers with a custom 20% audio taper come standard for volume. This taper produces a very nice even volume attenuation throughout the range of the knob. A standard audio taper is available upon request which provides more of the attenuation in the 6-10 range of the knob.

Clean boost with bypass switch. Maintains the guitars high end clarity (even through long cable runs). The gain can be adjusted from 3-14db. Works great as a boost or used as an “always on” to accentuate the high end frequencies.

The bridge and nut will be set up for your desired string gauges. Having the guitar set up for the string gauges that will be used is important for tuning stability and intonation.

Special Considerations Regarding Sequoia Wood:

Giant sequoia (sequoia giganteum) is a softwood similar in hardness to redwood. Both sequoia and redwood make excellent tonewoods, however they will develop cosmetic scratches and dents easier than hardwood. Some scratches and dents should be expected with use. How the guitar is handled and used will obviously affect this. 

I only use sequoia wood that is reclaimed. Due to the nature of reclaimed wood there may be staining or other visual imperfections in the wood. I think this is part of the appeal that comes with reclaimed wood.

Sales Tax and Shipping

California sales tax (for purchases in CA) and applicable shipping charges if required are additional. All instruments are shipped with insured shipping. Due to the complexities with exporting items made using wood or bone, I only ship within the United States. International shipping is not available at this time.
